Santala Devi Mandir
This temple is also known as Santura Devi Temple. It is one of the famous places to visit in Dehradun among pilgrims and has great cultural and religious significance. Paonta Sahib Gurudwara It is said that, once Raja Medini Prakash and Guru Gobind Singh Ji were exploring the place. On their excursion, Guruji was so much impressed that he decided to set a camp on the bank of the river. Guruji laid the foundation of this holy city with his own holy hands and named it Paon-tikka, which is famous as Paonta Sahib today.
As a token of respect and gratitude, Raja Medini Prakash decided to construct a Gurudwara on the bank of Yamuna River. Before leaving the Gurudwara, Guruji fought many battles against some of the neighbouring kingdoms.

Located at 1,706 m sea level, Lansdowne is a lovely hill station in the Pauri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. It is established in AD 1887 by the British. Today, the Regimental Centre of the legendary Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army is located in this town which was founded during the British Raj.
